PRIVACY AND COOKIES POLICY

The Polish National Council of Notaries is committed to protecting the privacy of visitors to the website: www.krn.org.pl. Data collected on the log file are processed solely for the purpose of administering the website. It is not our intention to identify the users of the website. 

INFORMATION CONCERNING THE PROCESSING OF DATA 

In accordance with Article 13(1) and (2) of the Regulation 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) we kindly inform you that the Polish National Council of Notaries with its registered office in Warsaw, ul. Dzika 19/23, is Controller of your data.

The Controller has appointed the Data Protection Officer (DPO), who can be reached by sending an e-mail to: RODO@krn.org.pl. You can contact him in all matters relating to the processing of your data by the Polish National Council of Notaries, including matters relating to the exercise of your rights related to data processing. 

We process your personal data to allow the controller to perform his tasks that are carried out in public interest for the purpose of promoting the notarial services as a way to enhance the security of legal transactions and to protect the citizens’ assets, as well as in association with the legitimate interest of the Controller for the purposes relating to the functioning of the website, statistics and measuring of the effectiveness of promotional activities. 

Your data can be transmitted to our subcontractors (processors), e.g. providers of IT services, provided that the entities in question process data based on an agreement concluded with the Controller and solely following the Controller’s instructions. 

In cases where data is processed based on your consent to data processing, you may revoke such consent at any time without prejudice to the lawfulness of the data processing carried out in accordance with the consent granted before it has been revoked. 


In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679, you shall be entitled to:

  • be granted an access to your personal data and receive a copy thereof;
  • have your personal data rectified (corrected);
  • have your personal data erased where the data is not processed for the compliance with the legal obligation or for the exercise of public authority;
  • request that the processing of your personal data be restricted; 
  • file an objection to the data processing;
  • file a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (address: Urząd Ochrony Danych Osobowych, ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warszawa). 

This Service contains hyperlinks to other websites. The Polish National Council of Notaries is not liable for the observance of the privacy policy applicable on such websites. When visiting hyperlinked websites, you are encouraged to read the privacy policy provided thereon. This Privacy Policy applies only to the Service provided by the Polish National Council of Notaries. 

Collection of data 

The Controller protects the data collected using the following methods:

  • data encryption
  • protection of filing systems against unauthorized access.


We store your data until a task for which the data was collected is completed and following that, in respect of archive materials, over the period provided for in the Act of 14 July 1983 on the State archive resources and on archives (Journal of Laws 2018, item 217 as amended). 

The provision of data is voluntary, albeit necessary for the performance of said purpose. The performance of the latter is impossible without such data. 

In accordance with the practice adopted by a majority of www services, HTTP requests directed to the server are stored. Browsed resources are identified based on URL addresses. 

Cookies policy 

No data is stored automatically by the Service, except for information collected in cookies. 

Cookies are IT data, in particular text files, which are stored on the Service user’s end device and which are intended for using the website of the Service. Cookies typically contain the name of the website from which they originate, the period of their storage on the end device and a unique number. 

Cookies files are installed on the user’s end device by the operator of the Service Krajowa Rada Notarialna with registered office at ul. Dzika 19/24, 00-172 Warszawa, which has also access to such files. 

Cookies files are used for the following purposes:

  • to adapt the contents of website to users’ preferences, and more specifically to recognize the user’s device and adequately display a website adapted to the user’s individual needs;
  • to perform statistics to see the browsing behaviour of the users of the Service, which helps to improve the contents and structure of the website.


The Service uses two types of cookies: session cookies and persistent cookies. Session cookies are temporary files, stored on users’ end devices until he or she logs out, leaves the website or closes the software (the Internet browser). Persistent cookies are stored on the user’s end device over the period specified in cookies parameters or until they are removed by the user. 

In many cases, the browsing software (Internet browser) automatically allows cookies to be stored on users’ end devices. The Service users may change cookies settings at any time. The settings may be changed so that an automatic management of cookies is blocked on the Internet browser settings and/or so that a notification is made whenever cookies are stored on the Service user’s device. More detailed information on cookies management is available in the software settings (Internet browser). 

You can change the cookies settings in the Internet browser. Refraining from such changes means that you accept cookies used on this website. 

The Service operator informs you that if you restrict the installation of cookies, not all of the functions on the Service website may be fully usable. 

Cookies may also be used by foreign services hyperlinked on the service www.krn.org.pl. In particular, these will include logging-in files and/or files containing ads matching the user’s preferences and behaviour.
